SBE and SMPTE have joined forces and pooled
resources for a great Holiday Party this year. Appetizers, dinner, dessert and lots of great door prizes will

Technical Innovations, Tektronix, Telex, and Siemens. (Cash bar will be available)

A SEMINAR on "IT Developments for Broadcasters" will be held in Atlanta on December 15th. This all-day seminar is presented as a collaborative effort by Miranda, Omneon Video Networks, Sundance Digital and Tandberg Television. Topics to be covered include: IT Networking Basics, Network Security Issues and Strategies, Storage Network Concepts, Emerging Compression Formats, File Exchange Technologies, Monitoring Strategies Using IP, Collaboritive Production Enhanced by IT Enabled Infrastructure.

Atlanta Seminar will be hosted by GPTV and co-sponsored by the Atlanta
Chapter of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. Due to GPTV and Atlanta
SBE's assistance, it appears Miranda is waiving the $75 attendance fee.
