Spiced Right BBQ at 6:30 PM
Program Starts at 7:30 PM

Hosted  by:

Tektronix

and

TBS Field Shop

Topic:

Synchronization in Hybrid Facilities

Jim Edwards
Senior Applications Engineer
Tektronix

Synchronization is one of the most fundamental and critical procedures in a video facility. Every device in a system, (cameras, switchers, VTRs, editors, etc.), must be synchronized in order to create, transmit and recover video pictures and audio information.

T
he complexities of an analog and digital multi-standard, multi-format environment require flexibility to achieve and maintain synchronization in facilities that operate in a mix of formats.

Location:

TBS Field Shop

Directions:

Take I-75/85 connector South to exit #248C, Freedom Parkway. It is a normal right hand exit taking you back over the freeway to the East. Merge with the traffic & go through the light at Boulevard. You will pass a tall, long granite block wall supporting the Carter Center. Immediately after take a left on Ralph McGill, your 2nd traffic light. Go to your 2nd driveway on the right marked by a gold painted sign 828 placed in the grass. There will be a 700-foot long building on your left with the far end labeled TBS Field shop. You may park anywhere in front of the building or on the ramp. If lost call Doug Keltz @ 770.621.9126 or Bob McGee @ 404-524-3911.
