Program Starts at 7:30 PM
Hosted by:

Topic:
Multipath in 8VSB
Transmission
Eddy Vanderkerken
Rhode and Schwarz
It
only took aproximately .001 seconds after the ATSC announced the decision to propose 8VSB as the transmission method for DTV in the US
for the debate over this to begin raging. One focus of this debate has been the effects of multipath on 8VSB receivers. Eddy Vanderkerken of Rhode and Schwarz will explain the different types of multipath propagation that exist. He will also discuss how these can be simulated and quantified in the 8VSB transmission world.
Please note that there have been some recent changes in parking and security at Turner. The 10th Street parking entrance has been closed. All visitors must enter off of Techwood
Drive. There will be people to provide directions and escorts through security.
